Microsoft Teams is the company’s new answer to Slack and other team communication apps. It is not a replacement for Skype for Business, but, instead, is a way to communicate without having to switch apps.
We all know Microsoft Teams is Microsoft’s new chat software for Office 365, which is designed to replace the traditional Skype for Business (and Lync) for business users. What few of us know is that Teams is not limited to just Office 365 users, and can be accessed by anyone with a Microsoft account. It’s a chat application that is easy to use and has no limits on bandwidth. But, do you know how to see everyone on Teams?
Microsoft Teams is a free, end-to-end communication tool designed to help you work better together. Inspired by Skype for Business and Office 365, Teams lets you: – Collaborate with your colleagues and your entire organization on the best ways to make decisions and build things together. – Share and store all of your team’s documents in a single, intuitive place. – Easily connect and communicate with your customers and partners. – Quickly and easily get the information you need to do your job.
Microsoft Teams is one of the most popular video conferencing systems, with schools, universities, and even some businesses using it. It enables the formation of numerous teams for various objectives, as well as individual talking and phoning. Participants in the team may also exchange files and set up meetings. All attendees may not be seen in a meeting with a large number of people.
We’ll look at how to see all of the participants in a Microsoft Teams meeting and how to highlight a particular individual in this post.
In most cases, a Microsoft Teams team will have numerous participants, split into members and visitors. To add a new team member or see all existing team members, follow the steps below.
Step 1: Select the appropriate team by clicking on it.
Step 2: Select Manage team from the three dots beside the team name.
Step 3: Click on the down arrow beside the Owners, Members, and Guests of the Team to discover who they are.
Click on the Add member option on the right to add a new member.
It is feasible to have almost 250 people in a Team meeting. As a result, seeing all 250 participants at the same time is almost impossible. However, Microsoft Teams has improved from seeing just four to nine participants, and now up to 49 people, thanks to successive rounds of upgrades. Teams want to raise this number in the future, but as of now, the total number of members with cameras or recordings turned on is 49.
In general, it seems that seeing more than four players on the Teams online application causes greater problems. To take full use of the capabilities offered, it is strongly suggested that you download the Teams desktop program.

Step 1: In the top panel, under the video choice, click the three dots (…).
Step 2: Choose Large Gallery (Preview) from the drop-down menu.
When the participants’ videos are playing, the Large Gallery mode is enabled. Otherwise, there will always be 9 participants visible.

The Together mode
The Together mode attempts to create a virtual classroom environment. This mode displays all participants who have enabled videos in a classroom-like setting with chairs.
Step 1: Hover your mouse over the three dots next to the video icon.
Step 2: Select the Together mode from the drop-down menu.

Putting a participant in the spotlight
Spotlight is a new feature that allows one person to be highlighted/spotlighted for the whole conference to see, regardless of their video status. Any meeting participant has the ability to shine a spotlight on another member. The person who is being highlighted has the choice to leave the spotlight at any moment.
Step 1: Click on the three dots next to the participant’s name.
Step 2: Select Spotlight from the drop-down menu.
You may also highlight someone who isn’t visible on the main screen. Go to the participant list, click the three dots next to the person’s name, and then click the spotlight (Similar to the pinning method).
Permission from the host is required in order to highlight any participant. You won’t be able to highlight anybody if the host has disabled the necessary permissions.
If you’ve been spotlighted by someone else and want to get out of it, go to the top banner and select the Exit spotlight option.
Participants in Microsoft Teams have the option of selecting what they want to view. It is possible to pin other participants and watch them instead of the presentation if you are in the midst of a presentation.
Step 1: To pin a person, click the three dots beside their name.
Step 2: Select the pin option from the drop-down menu.
Up to 9 people may be pinned at any one moment. Furthermore, even if there is no presentation, the same procedure may be used to pin individuals.
Pin participants who aren’t visible on the screen from the participants’ section.
Step 1: From the top banner option beneath Request control, choose the Participants section.
Step 2: Next to the name of the person you want to pin, click the three dots.
Step 3: Select Pin.
Click on the presentation that will be displayed alongside your profile in the meeting to return to the presentation without unpinning the attendees.
The pinned participants will stay pinned, but the presentation will be displayed again on the banner below. These pinned participants will reappear on the screen whenever the presentation is paused.
Unpin participants by clicking on the pin next to their name, then clicking on the three dots next to their name and selecting unpin.
